Bromomethane, commonly known as methyl bromide, is an organobromine compound with formula CH3Br. This colorless, odorless, nonflammable gas is produced both industrially and particularly biologically. Methyl bromide is mainly used as a chemical raw material. It is also used to extract oil from seeds, flowers, wool de-esterification, and fumigation insecticides. The main objects of re-steaming are warehouse grain, cash crops, field-based soil and large buildings. Chemical production workers and fumigants can be exposed to different concentrations of methyl bromide.
