A multitude of applications
Casing advancement systems, are todays preferred method for
drilling in difficult ground conditions; boulders and loose
formation, and can be used in a wide range of applications. The
most common applications are for geothermal water well drilling,
mini/micro piling, ground stabilisation and foundation work. Civil
engineering contractors working to secure railway embankments from
landslides regularly use the systems for slope stabilisation and
soil anchoring methods to avoid damage to the track infrastructure.
The casing advancement systems are available either as a solitary
ring bit or as a ring bit set, and the types of casing can be
permanent or retrievable. You can choose between the ODEX,
Symmetrix or Elemex systems depending primarly on the drilling
conditions on site. ODEX, Symmetrix and Elemex are parts of a total
overburden drilling solution from Epiroc and work well in both
down-the-hole and tophammer drilling.
