Product Description
Bergenin alias Cuscutin is trihydroxybenzoic acid glycoside. It is the C-glycoside of 4-O-methyl gallic acid. It possesses an O-demethylated derivative called norbergenin. These are chemical compounds and drugs of Ayurveda, commonly known as Paashaanbhed. It shows a potent immunomodulatory effect.
Bergenin can be isolated from Bergenia species like Bergenia ciliata and Bergenia ligulata,[2] from rhizomes of Bergenia stracheyi. It is also found in the stem bark of Dryobalanops aromatica,[3] in Ardisia elliptica and in Mallotus japonicus

Product Function
1.Bengenin can be used as herbal antitussive expectorant and for
treatment of chronic bronchitis.This product has demulcent,
sedative and hypnotic and stable effect,
2.Bengenin purpurascens Analgetic weak in PaiTiDing, than general
antipyretic analgesics. In the therapeutic doses without breathing
inhibition, nor cause gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm.
3.Chronic persistent pain and viscera of blunt painful effect is
good, the sharp pain in acute pain after surgery (e.g., traumatic
pain), late-stage cancer pain effect is poorer.
4.The analgesic action, can cause sedative and hypnotic. This
product is to clarify the mechanism, and inhibit the reticular
activating system structure, block up within the brain dopamine
receptor function.
