Introudction of Hydraulic Jar

The hydraulic jar is a part of the DST workstring. The jar is operated by the annulus pressure to help to remove the stuck tools during the downhole testing operation. The hydraulic Jar is named Big John Jar in Halliburon as well.

The hydraulic jars available for slim hole in 3 7/8" OD, and the working pressure up to 15000psi

Assembly and Maintenance of Hydraulic Jar

1. After finishing test each time, the tool should be taken apart completely and washed clearly, replacing all the O-rings and damaged Back-up Rings. Checking all the sealing surfaces and threads, all the damaged parts should be replaced because that they would have bad influence upon the tool.

2. Make sure you have an instruction manual, a maintenance check sheet, and the appropriate assembly drawing at your workstation before beginning the job.

3. Make sure use the high temperature o-ring in the high temperature well and H2S condition.
