Such floor deck is a composite floor system that uses a combination of metal decking, reinforced steel bar, welded mesh and ready-mixed concrete.

Normally composite metal deck construction has utilized mesh fabric reinforcement this has involved the delivery, lifting and installation of welded wire mesh on to the floor prior to the pouring of concrete.
