With Magnetic Field Resistant Auto SwitchD-P3DWA
1.If welding cables or welding gun electrodes are in the vicinity
of thecylinder, the magnets in the cylinder could be affected by
the exter-nal magnetic fields. (Please contact SMC if the welding
amperage exceeds 1 60OO A.) If the source of strong magnetism comes
in con-tact with the cylinder with an auto switch, make sure to
install thecylinder away from the source of the magnetism.
2.If the cylinder is to be used in an environment in which spatter
willcome in direct contact with the lead wires, cover the lead
wires witha protective tube. For the protective tube, use a tube
l.D. o7 ormore, which excels in heat resistance and flexibility.
Auto Switch Mounting Bracket/Parts No.
1.DInsert the nut into the auto switch mounting slot on the
cylinder tube, andplace it in the roughly estimated
settingposition.
2.Engage the ridge on the auto switch mounting arm with the recess
in the cyl-inder tube rail, and slide it to the posi-tion of the
nut.
3.Gently screw the auto switch mounting screw into the thread of
the auto switchmounting nut through the mounting holeon the auto
switch mounting arm.
Caution
When a Magnetic Body Surrounds theCylinder
When a magnetic body surrounds the cylinder as shown in the fig-ure
below (including when the magnetic body is only on one side ofthe
cylinder), the movement of the auto switch may become un-stable.
