Cellulite, slimming and toning using Acoustic Wave Therapy.
Shockwave therapy is used in hospitals for fragmenting kidney
stones. The same principle is now available for breaking up fat,
toning and inch loss, and reduction of cellulite.
Pressure waves correct and strengthen the fibres between fat cells,
increase blood circulation which helps smooth lumpy cellulite, thus
the skin quality improves and gives a firmer skin tone. The shock
waves work by promoting cell division and simulating biochemical
reaction in the skin. Some of the benefits of these are;

What does the treatment involve?
We pass the applicator over the skin which emits pressure waves
that activate the connective tissue at high frequencies which

How long does the treatment take?
This very much depends upon the size of the area to be treated. To
treat full thighs and buttocks is about 45 to60 minutes. In this
time the muscles will be toned, loose skin tightened and cellulite
broken down.
How many sessions are required?
An initial course of 10 sessions is required, twice weekly.
Maintenance is required once every three months.
What does the client feel?
A gentle pummeling on the skin but it is not painful, more
relaxing.
What areas can be treated?
The thighs and buttocks are the most common areas to be treated.
The upper arms can also be treated as well as stretch marks on the
stomach. Research is ongoing and there should be more to come using
this therapy.
Client advice during and after treatment
At all times you should drink at least 2 litres of water daily,
exercise to burn up the broken down fat and cellulite, and reduce
intake of fatty foods.
What trials have there been to evaluate the effectiveness of the
treatment?
Two studies were carried out in Switzerland by Dr. Christ on 120
women, these were the results.
Skin tightening improved by up to 110% (A pressure sensor measured
the skin elasticity and demonstrated the improvement).
Average inch loss was 3 inches, without any changes in diet or
exercise.
Cellulite reduction was over 50% improvement.
A four month trial was conducted at a salon in Ireland and the
results were that good they bought the machine and took on
distributorship
Why is it unique?
No other system has a cellular effect; it affects fat cells in the
subcutaneous tissue as well as muscles. The pressure waves
penetrate an inch deep into tissue, which has a beneficial affect
on fat, muscle and skin.
