Overview

The main functions of this card are as follows:

Provide one STM-16 optical interface;
Accomplish E/O conversion of signal, optical power detect, laser bias current detect and automatic laser shutdown;
Accomplish extraction and inserting of regenerator section, multiplex section and higher order path;
Support cascade connection of VC-4c and VC-16c;
Report section and layer status to XCU card as judgement grounds for multiplex section protection switching; report status of each AU-4 signal to XCU card as judgement grounds for path protection switching;
Support loop back function of equipment side and line side;
Support remote download function of FPGA and BCT program;
Accomplish 16×16VC-4 higher order cross-connect and bridge switching function of pass through signal.
