TrustedTM Communications Interface T8151
The module has a Motorola 600 series processor and MPC106 PCI
bridge/memory controller, its associated memory and glue logic.
There is also a site for a PCI mezzanine card for future expansion.
The module communicates with the TrustedTM Processor via the
triplicated Inter-Module Bus (IMB). When polled by the processor,
the module’s Bus Interface 2-oo-3 votes the data from the IMB, and
transmits back its reply via all three channels.
The module implements communications processing under the control
of the TrustedTM Processor. Messages received from the processor,
or an external link, are validated, undergo the necessary protocol
conversion, and are then forwarded to their destination.
