PDC diamond bit rock breaking mechanism
The rock breaking action of the PDC diamond bit is completed by the
diamond particles. In the hard formation, the single diamond is
eroded into the formation under the action of the weight-on-bit to
make the rock become brittle from the high stress, Under the action
of crushing the rock out, the cutting depth is substantially equal
to the depth of diamond grains to eat into the formation. The whole
process is like "plowing", the plow cutting of diamond bits.
