In the magnesium fuel cell, magnesium served as negative electrode, air electrode is used as the positive and the oxygen in the air is the oxidant. Neutral NaCl aqueous solution is used as the electrolyte, and electrical power is generated by oxidizing magnesium-based alloy electrode. The magnesium electrode can be repeatedly replaced after depleted.
