Polarizing beam splitter, 1550nm, splitting polarizations, 250um
bare fiber, 0.8m length.
It is built on PM collimator and Wollaston prism, with the
all-glass technique sealed process. It can combine two polarization
state into one single-mode fiber or split single mode into two
vertical polarization states. Mostly used in Raman amplifier,
combine two vertical polar states to get a double power light.
You can see it's different from the fiber coupler which is used for
splitting optical power. But you can use it to help you understand
the polarization beam splitter.
