Paneltek "Rainscreen" system is a fully drained, ventilated and pressure equalized façade which forms the external aesthetic element of a multi-layer wall.

This system also allows air movement around each panel which provides the ultimate pressure equalization minimizing the water penetration to the inner wall. This system protects the structural backing wall against water, wind, and solar damage and test results are available under the regime laid down by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology.

The origin of terracotta wall panels

Terracotta wall panels are originated from the terracotta roof tiles. Using natural materials, including clay, porcelain clay, quartz sand etc., extruded by molding, and fired by high temperature above 1000 degrees in kiln. In the early 1980s, they started to be used in construction in Europe, and in 1985 the first project using terracotta panels was completed in Munich, Germany.
