Wire mesh demister is also known as mist eliminators or sprays.
This is a kind of high efficiency separation devices, used
throughout all kinds of process industries, to
remove liquid droplets from gas and/or vapour streams.
When the air with mist rises up at certain speed and gets through
wire mesh, mist will collide with wire and
will be attached on the surface of wire in the effect of rising
inertia. The dispersion and sedimentation
makes mist form bigger drop and form a connection point. This drop
will become more and more bigger till
it is heavier than the composition forces of gas rising force and
liquid's surface tensile under the action of
wire's wetting property, liquid's surface tensile and wire's
capillarity; therefore, liquid drop will be separated
and fall off from wire. It nearly doesn't contain mist after gas
gets through wire mesh demister.
It improves operation condition, optimizes technical index, reduces
equipment corruption, prolongs
equipment's life, increases processing capacity, reuses valuable
material, protects environment and
reduces atmosphere pollution to separate mist from gas
This product is simple in structure, small in size, high in the
efficiency of eliminating mist, small in
resistance, light in weight, convenient to install, operate and
repair. As for the mist with granularity not less
than 3-5um, its collecting efficiency reaches 98%-99.8%. Pressure
slop in which gas gets through
demister is very small only 250-500Pa, so it is good for improving
equipment's production efficiency.
