Specifications of Steel structure bridge:

1) Caidong Bridge crosses over River Caishi and starts from Hudong Road. With the length of 100m and width of 57m it has two main bridges in the middle and two side bridges. So the bridge is designed with four beam types as the road cross section.

2) The side bridge is under-supporting rigid Tied and rigid basket handle arch bridge, the angle between medial arch axial plane and the vertical plane is 8 degrees. The angle between lateral arch shaft surface and the vertical plane is 10 degrees. Both are inclined to the inside of the side bridge. Rib steel was finished with box structure production, all-welded design, factory production, site installation.

3) The Caidong Bridge with arch frame exposed, has three-dimensional forked shape and steel box gantry, which indicates the vigorous upright spirit and great endeavor, both epitomize the perfect combination of a higher, faster, stronger era style.

Characteristics of structural material:

1) Steel box arch

Arch rib is made from steel structure. The steel applied Q345C low alloy high strength structural steel. Both the medial, lateral arch rib and arch axis surface are inclined to the inward. Medial arch ribs tilts 8 degrees, outside of Rib tilts 10 degrees. Two arch ribs close to each other, and the vault is at the net distance of 1696mm, which forms the structure of the basket handle arch.
1~2 longitudinal stiffeners are equipped with on the top of upper and down steel boxes. In the middle of two battens, stiffeners are also equipped. The middle part of Back plane is equipped with a partition with hollow rectangular cross-section.

Every piece of Arch rib is divided into 7 parts, which compromise three sections: arch foot section, middle arch section, and vault section. The horizontal projection length of each section is 16.5m and 17.6m. Each segment is manufactured by factories. After the production, the different section will be transported to the site. Then, they will be welded, installed and assembled to be the whole arch box.

2) wind bracing

The Whole Bridge has been equipped with 7 wind brace and one arch vault. The space between every two wind brace is 10~15m. The bridge gauge is 16Mnq. The wind bracing set 1 to 3 partitions, the horizontal and vertical stiffeners were equipped to strengthen the structure.
Wind bracing are produced by factory. Then it is transported to the site, and Rib will be connected through the groove welding.
