the diameter thickness depends on the mesh size, the diameter is between 2.0mm to 4.0mm if the

material is zinc coated, while the diameter will be 3.0mm to 4.5mm if the material is PVC-coated wire

, the selvage wire diameter usually is one gauge thicker than the body wire.

Gabion boxes are filled with stones at the project site to form flexible, permeable and monolithic structures such as retaining walls, channels and weirs for erosion control projects. In order to reinforce the structure, there is selvedge wire on the mesh panel edge whose diameter is greater than mesh wire. Gabion box is divided into cells by diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m centers.
