UKH series thermal overload relays apply to circuit of AC 50Hz or 60Hz, rated voltage to below 660V and rated current . 1A-800A for AC motor overload and open-phase protection during long time or intermittent long time service, which can also protect 3-phase serious imbalance and long starting time of motor or long timer operation, can also be used for corresponding AC contactor for electromagnetic starter.

Thermal overload relays are economic electromechanical protection devices for the main circuit.

They offer reliable protection for motors in the event of overload or phase failure.

The thermal overload relay can make up a compact starting solution together with contactors.

Working Principle of Thermal Relay:

A thermal relay works depending upon the coefficient of expansion of metals. The basic working principle of thermal relay is that, when a bimetallic strip is heated up by a heating coil carrying over current of the system, it bends and makes normally open contacts.
