Application of New Technology
Construction preparation
Clean up conserve hydrocele and concrete and etc. in the caisson.
Install two winches of 5T and a
guide ring in both sides of the caisson back, and carry out an
operational test. Understand the use
performance of air bag, and inflatable operating procedures of air
bags; Conduct empty loading
inflatable inspection on loading air bag, and the pressure reaches
0.175 MPa. Flatten and clear the
road forward, pay attention to clearing embedded pieces of iron and
stone, to prevent air bag being
punctured. Mark air bag position on the caisson. Check conditions
of air compressor equipment.
Constructive methods
Place 4 screw jacks of 600t respectively in the screw jack pit
(place respectively on each screw jack
a piece of 0.6 x 0.6m steel plate), facing the center of caisson;
Fuel and pressure screw jack, and
lift the caisson for 220 mm.
According to preestablished "location map", stuff mat wood to the
bottom of the caisson; Place the
mat wood even with the caisson; The mat wood is 320 mm wide, 220mm
high, and 2.5m long.
Lift 5 air bags with tower crane; artificially penetrate a rope in
the bottom of the caisson. The air
bag location should be consistent with the location of
identification. Place 5 air bags at the caisson
bottom and 2 reserve air bags in outer fore-toe.
Air bag aeration
Firstly install valves and barometer at both ends of the air bag,
gradually inflate 5 air bags at the
bottom of the caisson, inflate air pressure to 0.08 MPa, and the
inflation order is from air bags of
fore and hind toe to caisson bottom. Secondly inflate pressure to
0.122 MPa (or withdraw until the
mat wood can move). Check the tilting condition of caisson when
inflating, and the order is the
same as above. Finally withdraw the mat wood.
Caisson forward
Tie up caisson with rope, and move it forward for about 1.5 meters
with slow traction from the back
of winch, and through guide ring located in the middle of wharf.
Then stuff reserve air bag, and
inflate pressure to 0.122 MPa. Reactivate the winch to tract
caisson for horizontal movement of 1.5
meters, and stuff reserve air bag 2, and inflate pressure to 0.122
MPa. Repeat the operation above until the caisson moves forward
within operational diameter of 1000T crane barge.
Effect received
New technology air bag handling caisson of the wharf project took a
total of 10 days, and 18
caisson handling tasks are successfully completed with eight days
ahead of schedule. Analysis
based on the constructive condition: New technology air bag
handling caisson is safe and feasible,
for it has broken the traditional mode of construction; especially
it has a certain sense on outgo
construction with no fixed wharf and prefabrication.
