Operating principle

Three-phase horizontal helical centrifuge is mainly used for solid-liquid-liquid separation and synchronized segregation of a kind of solid phase (the proportion of the largest) and two kinds of liquid phase of different density. Its working principle, on the basis of the principle of subsidence, namely solid particles heavier than liquid subside in a predetermined time. After the material goes into the high speed rotating drum, under the impact of centrifugal force, three relatively stable levels form. They are solid phase layer, heavy liquid layer, light liquid layer from outside to inside. Solid phase layer moves to the small end of drum under the impetus of the screw conveyor and is discharged from the outlet. Heavy liquid layer and light liquid layer flow along the duct among the spiral vanes to the large end of the drum and then are discharged from their respective drainage to achieve the continuous phase separation.
