This hose SAE 100R12 is made of three layers, they are inner tube of oil resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), reinforced by four layers of spiral plies of steel wire wrapped in alternating directions, and an oil and weather resisitant synthetic rubber cover (NBR).

In many hydraulics systems, inflexible or rigid pipes or tubes are used to transfer energy-generating liquid between different components to form a complete hydraulic circuit.
