Mining hydrocyclones are commonly applied in gold ore, iron ore,
copper ore, lead-zinc ore, lithium ore, silica sand, coal slurry,
and tailings recovery systems. The equipment is suitable for
classification, concentration, desliming, dewatering, and fines
recovery in both wet grinding and beneficiation processes.
Working Principle
The slurry is fed into the cyclone tangentially under pressure,
generating a high-speed rotating flow inside the cyclone body.
Under centrifugal force:
- Coarse and heavy particles move toward the outer wall and discharge
from the underflow outlet.
- Fine and light particles move upward through the vortex finder and
exit from the overflow outlet.
This continuous separation process provides accurate particle
classification and improved grinding efficiency.
