About Telescopic Fork
Telescopic forks serve as the primary actuators on stacker cranes,
responsible for the precise handling and positioning of goods
within storage systems. These forks perform a horizontal extension and retraction motion,
enabling them to deposit (store) or retrieve (remove) unit loads
from the storage compartments on either side of the crane's aisle.
Typically configured as three-stage or four-stage linear differential telescopic systems, these robust assemblies integrate several key components to
ensure smooth and reliable operation. These include cam follower bearings, precision slider guide units, power transmission gear units, and the high-strength fork bodies themselves. The extension and retraction are commonly driven by a
highly reliable chain and sprocket system or a rack and pinion mechanism, providing the necessary force and control for handling heavy
