Within focusing microscopes, the motor's closed-loop control continuously monitors image sharpness variations, dynamically adjusting drive current until it stabilizes at the optimal focal plane. Its precision displacement enables nanometer-level vertical movement of the objective lens along the Z-axis, enabling rapid autofocus.

In white-light interferometers, the interferometer module is mounted on a precision stage driven by a voice coil motor. This drives the entire interferometer module to move vertically along the Z-axis, enabling uniform and precise scanning of the height range of the measured object.
