Beta Glucan
What is Beta Glucan ?
Beta-glucan 70% are naturally-occurring polysaccharides which are
found in the cell walls of yeast, such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae,
commonly known as baker's yeast. There are different types of
beta-glucans, from various sources including yeast, fungi and
plants. Amongst these different beta-glucans, those found within
Saccharomyces cerevisiae have been shown to be highly bioactive.
Beta-glucan may offer many other health benefits, including
lowering cholesterol, improving blood sugar management.

Significantly Lowers Cholesterol
It forms a thick, gel-like substance in the small intestine that
binds to bile acids (synthesized from cholesterol) and increases
their excretion. To compensate for the loss of bile acids, the
liver mobilizes more cholesterol in the blood to synthesize new
bile acids, effectively lowering total cholesterol and "bad" LDL
cholesterol levels.
Stabilizes Blood Sugar
It prevents a sharp rise in blood sugar after meals and helps
improve insulin sensitivity, making it particularly beneficial for
people with diabetes and prediabetes.
Boosts Immunity
It helps the body more effectively identify and fight pathogens
such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi, enhancing the function of the
innate immune system.
Regulates Intestinal Health
It improves the balance of intestinal flora and, due to its good
water absorption, softens stools, effectively preventing and
relieving constipation.

It naturally reduces subsequent food intake, aiding weight
management.
Applications
Heart disease. Eating at least 3.6 grams of beta-glucans or other soluble fibers
daily as part of a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet might help prevent
heart disease. Oat and barley products contain large amounts of
beta-glucans.
High cholesterol. Taking beta-glucans made from oats or barley by mouth for several
weeks seems to reduce total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein
(LDL or "bad") cholesterol in people with high cholesterol.
Activate human immune cells.promote phagocytosis of macrophages and improve human immunity.
Stimulate skin cell activity, enhance skin immune protection, reduce wrinkles.
