What is Trimagnesium Dicitrate?
Magnesium citrate is an organic salt compound formed by the
combination of magnesium ions and citrate ions. It is a white
crystalline powder that is readily soluble in water. This organic
form of magnesium has high bioavailability in the body, and its
absorption efficiency is superior to that of inorganic magnesium
salts such as magnesium oxide. As an essential cofactor for more
than 300 enzyme reactions in the human body, magnesium citrate can
be used both as a dietary supplement to correct magnesium
deficiency and as an osmotic laxative in the medical field,
demonstrating its dual application value.

Electrolyte Balance and Neuroregulation
Magnesium ions, as a natural calcium channel blocker, can regulate
neuromuscular excitability and inhibit excessive activation of
neuronal NMDA receptors. Clinical studies show that daily
supplementation with 300 mg of magnesium citrate can reduce muscle
cramp frequency by 41% and significantly improve stress responses
in anxious patients.
Energy Metabolism Promotion
Magnesium accelerates adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis by
activating mitochondrial ATP synthase and the rate-limiting enzyme
in glycolysis. Experimental data show that athletes who supplement
with magnesium citrate experience a 6.3% increase in maximum oxygen
uptake and a 19% increase in blood lactate clearance rate.
