Vermiculite - coated glass fiber cloth is a high - performance composite material. It is composed of an alkali - free glass fiber (substrate) and a vermiculite (coating material). As a natural mineral, vermiculite forms an inorganic protective layer on the glass fiber surface via a coating process. This structure boosts the composite material’s short - term high - temperature resistance to up to 1000°C and enables a continuous service temperature of up to 800°C.
