Main Structure and Working Principle
1. Basic Structure:
A typical cab air spring typically consists of the following
components:
Airbag: Made of a high-strength, fatigue-resistant rubber cord
layer, it seals the compressed air and absorbs vibrations through
its deformation.
Upper Cover and Lower Base (Piston): Metal components that secure
the air spring to the cab and chassis frame. The shape of the lower
base is typically carefully designed to optimize the airbag's
deformation curve and elastic properties.
Additional Components: These may include a height control valve,
air lines, and an air reservoir to automatically adjust the
airbag's height and pressure.
2. Working Principle:
Its operating principle is similar to an adjustable "air cushion."
Cushioning and Shock Absorption: When a truck travels over bumpy
roads, impacts from the wheels are transmitted through the chassis
to the air spring. The compressed air within the airbag is further
compressed or expanded, absorbing and damping the impact energy,
preventing it from being directly transmitted to the cab.
Height Hold: The system automatically adjusts the height via a
connected height control valve. When the cab load changes (for
example, when the driver gets on or off the vehicle) or the vehicle
posture changes, the control valve will inflate or deflate the
airbag to keep the cab at a preset, stable height.
