Application of Rubber Air Springs in Trailer Axles

On trailers, air springs are typically not used independently, but are integrated into a mechanical arm or four-link suspension. In this configuration, the rubber air spring primarily bears vertical loads and provides elasticity, while the links and arms are responsible for positioning the axle and transmitting driving and braking forces.

1. Automatic Balancing and Stable Load-Bearing:

Whether the trailer is unloaded or loaded, air springs maintain a relatively constant frame height by adjusting the air pressure within the airbags, ensuring the axle is always optimally loaded.

When the vehicle is traveling on rough roads or when the wheel loads are uneven, the system automatically adjusts to prevent tilt and improve driving stability.

2. Excellent Vibration Damping Performance:

Compared to traditional leaf springs, air springs have a lower stiffness and a natural vibration frequency typically between 1 and 1.5 Hz, effectively filtering and absorbing high-frequency, subtle vibrations and large shocks from the road.
