The automotive oil cooler hose is a highly specialized composite piping component. It is used to connect the engine oil cooler with the engine cooling system, through which two critical media—engine coolant and engine oil—flow simultaneously.

Its core function is to serve as a thermal exchange channel, cooling the engine oil via the coolant (or heating the engine oil during cold start), thereby ensuring the engine oil temperature remains within the optimal operating range.

Common Faults:

• Leakage: Oil or coolant leakage occurs at the pipe body or joint.
• Bulging/Expansion: Local bulging under oil pressure due to damage to the internal reinforcement layer, posing a risk of pipe burst.
• Internal Delamination/Debonding: Separation of the inner rubber layer from the reinforcement layer caused by long-term thermal aging, leading to pipe wall damage.
• Aging Cracking: Cracking of the outer rubber layer due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures and ozone.

• Oil Leakage into Cooling System: Presence of a milky, viscous mixture (oil emulsification) in the coolant reservoir.
• Coolant Leakage into Oil: Emulsified substances on the oil filler cap or dipstick, with abnormal increase in oil level.
