Application:
Speed Sensor T432957 is developed for the Perkins 1004-40, 1004-44
and 1104C-44T turbocharged diesel engines (4.4 L). These engines
are the primary power source for Massey Ferguson 5400 and 5700 SL
agricultural tractors, MF Delta 9330/9370 combine harvesters,
irrigation-pump sets, 60–120 kVA generator sets for prime or
standby power, plus 7- to 14-ton hydraulic excavators, wheel
loaders and skid-steer loaders used in construction and landscaping
operations worldwide.
Technical specifications:
Thread form M12 × 1.5 with 19 mm hex and 30 mm probe reach allow
direct mounting into the flywheel housing or timing-gear cover.
Output signal is digital Hall-effect, 3-wire, 8–32 Vdc supply, 0–8
kHz frequency range corresponding to 0–4 000 r/min crankshaft
speed, with built-in reverse-polarity and load-dump protection to
+40 Vdc.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4305 (AISI 303) stainless
steel for superior resistance to engine oil, coolant splash and
road salt; the sensing tip is over-moulded in high-temperature PPS
polymer rated to 150 °C and houses a rare-earth magnet for stable
signal amplitude across the full temperature envelope.
