The sensor body is machined from brass alloy for rapid thermal conductivity and long-term corrosion resistance. It carries a 1/8-27 NPT taper thread that seals directly into the cylinder head water jacket or thermostat housing without additional sealing washers.

Material & performance features:

The sensing element is a sintered bead-type thermistor encapsulated in a stainless-steel probe tip that is resistance-welded to the brass body, eliminating leakage paths. The probe tip is filled with high-purity aluminium oxide powder for vibration damping and thermal coupling. A high-fluoro elastomer grommet seals the wire exit and resists glycol-based coolants, oils and aggressive cleaning agents.
