Application:
Crankshaft Speed Sensor KRP1705 is designed for the Perkins 2206,
2506 and 2806 series turbocharged diesel engines (13–18 L). These
power units are fitted to FG Wilson generator sets from 400 kVA up
to 750 kVA, Massey Ferguson MF 8700 S high-horsepower tractors,
large-capacity combine harvesters (MF IDEAL 9T), 20–30 ton
hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, plus marine auxiliary engines
and drilling rigs employed in both agricultural and heavy
industrial sectors worldwide.
Technical specifications:
Thread interface M16 × 1.5 with 22 mm hex and 37 mm probe reach
allow direct mounting into the flywheel housing adjacent to the
crankshaft reluctor ring. Output signal is digital Hall-effect,
3-wire, 8–32 Vdc supply, 0–8 kHz frequency range corresponding to
0–4 000 r/min crankshaft speed, with built-in reverse-polarity and
load-dump protection to +40 Vdc.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4305 (AISI 303) stainless
steel for superior resistance to engine oil, coolant splash and
road salt; the sensing tip is over-moulded in high-temperature PPS
polymer rated to 150 °C and houses a rare-earth magnet for stable
signal amplitude across the full temperature envelope.
