Application:
Speed Sensor 2874A003 is engineered for the Perkins 1104C-44,
1104D-44T, 1106D-E70TA and 1206F-E70TA turbocharged diesel engines
(4.4 L to 7.0 L). These engines are employed across Massey Ferguson
5700 SL/SL S, 6700 S and 7700 S series tractors, MF IDEAL 7/8/9
combine harvesters, 60–250 kVA generator sets, 7- to 14-ton
hydraulic excavators, telehandlers, skid-steer loaders and a
variety of material-handling equipment in both agricultural and
construction environments.
Technical specifications:
Thread interface M12 × 1.5 with 19 mm hex and 30 mm probe reach for
direct mounting into the flywheel housing or timing gear cover.
Output signal is digital Hall-effect, 3-wire, 5 Vdc supply, 0–8 kHz
frequency range corresponding to 0–8 000 r/min crankshaft speed,
load dump and reverse-polarity protected to +40 Vdc.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) stainless
steel for complete immunity to engine oil, coolant splash and road
salt; the sensing tip is moulded in PPS polymer rated to 150 °C and
incorporates a rare-earth magnet for stable signal amplitude over
the full temperature range.
