PVD Colored Stainless Steel Sheet Production Process
The production of colored stainless steel sheets via PVD (Physical
Vapor Deposition) involves three core stages: pre-treatment, PVD
coating deposition, and post-treatment, with strict parameter
control throughout.
1. Pre-Treatment (Substrate Preparation)
This stage ensures a clean, smooth surface for coating adhesion.
Cutting & Polishing: Cut stainless steel coils/plates to required
dimensions via laser or shearing. Polish with abrasive belts/wheels
to achieve finishes like mirror, brushed, or matte, and remove
minor scratches.
Cleaning: First, degrease with alkaline/solvent solutions to
eliminate oil and fingerprints. Then, pickle with
nitric-hydrofluoric acid to remove oxide layers and polishing
residues. Finally, rinse with deionized water and dry with hot
air/infrared to avoid water spots.
2. PVD Coating Deposition (Color Formation Core)
