Hastelloy C276 Bright Bar Diameter 5 - 300mm Bright Polished C276
Rod Custom Cutting in Length
Overview of Hastelloy C276 Bright Bar
Hastelloy C276 bright bar, designated as UNS N10276 and compliant
with ASTM B574/ASME SB 574 standards, is a high-performance
nickel-based alloy rod renowned for its exceptional corrosion
resistance and mechanical strength. Our product line covers a wide
diameter range of 5mm to 300mm, with a bright polished surface
finish achieved through precision centerless grinding and polishing
processes. This surface treatment not only enhances the rod’s
aesthetic appeal but also minimizes surface defects, reducing the
risk of corrosion initiation in harsh environments.
Core Specifications & Mechanical Properties
Chemical Composition
The superior performance of Hastelloy C276 stems from its carefully
balanced chemical composition. It contains a minimum of 57% nickel
as the base element, supplemented by 14.5–16.5% chromium,
15.0–17.0% molybdenum, 3.0–4.5% tungsten, and 4.0–7.0% iron. Trace
elements are strictly controlled: carbon ≤0.01%, manganese ≤1.00%,
silicon ≤0.08%, cobalt ≤2.5%, phosphorus ≤0.04%, and sulfur ≤0.03%.
This composition enables the alloy to resist both oxidative and
reductive corrosion media.
Mechanical & Physical Properties
At room temperature, our Hastelloy C276 bright bars exhibit a
tensile strength of 690–950 MPa, a yield strength (0.2% offset) of
280–350 MPa, and an elongation rate of 40–65%. The alloy has a
density of 8.89 g/cm³ and a melting point ranging from 1325°C to
1371°C, allowing it to maintain structural integrity in
high-temperature environments up to 1000°C. Additionally, it boasts
excellent ductility and weldability, facilitating easy fabrication
into complex components.
Dimensional Tolerance & Length Customization
We adhere to strict dimensional tolerances, offering H9/H11
tolerance grades as standard, with customizable options like H8,
H10, and K series tolerances available upon request. For length,
our standard stock ranges from 50mm to 6000mm, but we provide
precise custom cutting services to meet specific project
requirements—whether short segments for small components or long
rods for large-scale equipment. Each cut end is deburred to ensure
safety and compatibility during assembly.
Key Performance Advantages
Unmatched Corrosion Resistance
Hastelloy C276 is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys
available. Its high molybdenum and chromium content provides
superior resistance to chloride-induced pitting, crevice corrosion,
and stress corrosion cracking. It performs exceptionally well in
aggressive media such as wet chlorine, 次氯酸盐 solutions, seawater,
formic acid, acetic acid, and high-concentration chloride salts
like ferric chloride and copper chloride. This makes it ideal for
applications in highly corrosive industrial environments.
High-Temperature Stability
The alloy retains its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance
even at elevated temperatures. In power generation boilers,
industrial furnaces, and chemical reactors operating at 800–1000°C,
it resists oxidation and thermal fatigue, ensuring long-term
service reliability. Its thermal conductivity (9.8 W/(m·°C)) and
low coefficient of thermal expansion (11.2 µm/(m·°C)) further
enhance its stability under thermal cycling conditions.
Precision & Durability
Our bright polished finish undergoes rigorous quality control, with
surface roughness maintained below Ra 0.8μm to prevent
contamination adhesion and corrosion buildup. Each rod is
straightened using advanced equipment to meet strict straightness
standards, eliminating warping during installation and use. The
cold-drawn and solution-treated production process ensures uniform
microstructure and consistent performance across the entire rod
length.
Industrial Applications
Petrochemical & Chemical Industry
Widely used in petroleum refineries, chemical reactors, acid
storage tanks, and pipelines handling corrosive media like sulfuric
acid and chlorinated organics. It is particularly suitable for
catalytic systems and MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate)
production equipment.
Power Generation & Nuclear Industry
Applied in civil nuclear power plants, power station boilers, heat
exchangers, and steam exhaust systems, where it withstands high
temperatures and corrosive coolants. Its radiation resistance also
makes it a preferred material for nuclear reactor components.
Marine & Environmental Engineering
Ideal for seawater desalination plants, offshore oil platforms, and
flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems. It resists seawater
corrosion and sulfur dioxide-induced degradation, used in 洗涤塔,re
heaters, and wet gas fans.
Other Fields
In the paper pulp industry, it manufactures cooking and bleaching
vessels; in the medical sector, it is used for corrosion-resistant
instrument components. It also serves aerospace, automotive, and
electronics industries requiring high-strength, corrosion-resistant
parts.
Quality Assurance & Logistics
All our Hastelloy C276 bright bars undergo strict quality
inspection, including chemical composition analysis (per ASTM
standards), mechanical property testing, and non-destructive
testing (NDT) for internal defects. We provide ISO, SGS, and BV
certification to guarantee product quality. For packaging, we use
export-standard sea packaging with moisture-proof layers to prevent
corrosion during transportation. Our production capacity reaches
10,000 tons annually, ensuring timely delivery even for large
orders (minimum order quantity: 1 ton).
