Firstly, they have excellent thermal insulation performance, which
can effectively reduce heat loss in cold environments and block
external high temperatures in hot weather, helping to maintain a
stable temperature inside agricultural facilities—this is crucial
for ensuring the normal growth of crops and livestock. Secondly,
they possess good moisture resistance; they can isolate external
moisture from entering facilities like greenhouses and breeding
sheds, preventing excessive humidity that may lead to mold growth
or adverse effects on crop and livestock health. Thirdly, they are
non-toxic and environmentally friendly, posing no harm to crops,
livestock, or aquatic products, and can even be processed into
sterile substrates, meeting the safety requirements of agricultural
production.
Practical Applications
In greenhouse and seedling cultivation, rock wool boards play an
important role in creating a favorable growth environment. For
greenhouses, they are often installed on walls and roofs as
insulation layers. In winter, they reduce the loss of internal
heat, ensuring that the temperature inside the greenhouse remains
at a level suitable for crop growth, which is especially beneficial
for the cultivation of off-season vegetables, flowers, and other
crops. In summer, they block the penetration of external high
temperatures, avoiding overheating inside the greenhouse that could
affect crop development. For seedling work, some high-density rock
wool boards, after special treatment to remove impurities, can be
processed into seedling substrates. Compared with traditional soil,
