What is Titanium Dioxide Powder?
Food coloring supplier titanium dioxide powder is a naturally occurring white colour used in the food industry to
increase the visual appeal, optical brightness and texture. It can
also act as a base coat in panned confectionery and chewing gum.
Titanium Dioxide is water insoluble and is processed into liquids
and pastes using high sheer milling techniques to reduce the small
particle size and increase the whiteness of the colour.
Food grade titanium dioxide powder available as water/oil dispersible powder, water dispersible
liquid suspension, and oil dispersible liquid. has excellent heat
and light stability.

1.Whitening agents
This is their primary function. They effectively give products a
very pure, bright white color or mask the yellowish tint of the raw
material, making the product more appealing. For example, they can
make skim milk, ice cream, and salad dressing appear creamier.
2.Brightening agents
They increase the light reflectivity of a product's surface,
thereby enhancing its gloss and making it more appetizing. They are
commonly used in glazes for candy and cake decorations.
3.Colorants
Although inherently white, they can be used as a base color or
mixed with other pigments to create softer, brighter, and more
stable colors. For example, they can create opaque white or light
colors like pink and blue in mints and chewing gum.
Applications
1.Pharmaceuticals: In pharmaceutical preparations, it can be used as a white colorant
in film coating suspensions, sugar coatings, and gelatin capsules.
It can also be mixed with other colorants for use in dermatological
preparations and can replace starch as a pharmaceutical excipient.
2.Foods: Used in candy coatings, preserved fruits, jellies, chewing gum,
unsweetened and concentrated solid beverages, milk-containing
beverages, puffed foods, and foods requiring whitening, such as
preserved fruits (including preserved fruits), jams, salad
dressings, and mayonnaise.
3.Cosmetics: Foundation, pressed powder, sunscreen, eye shadow, lipstick, lip
balm, toothpaste, talcum powder, prickly heat powder, creams, and
