Applications of Air Springs in Corrugated Cardboard Production Lines

1. Supporting the Entire Production Line (Leveling the Foundation)

Problem: The production line is long and heavy, and the floor in the workshop may be uneven. Any unevenness can cause uneven force on the equipment, resulting in vibration, which affects the bonding and quality of the cardboard.

Solution: Placing numerous "air springs" under the production line's base. By adjusting the air pressure in each spring, the entire massive production line can be precisely adjusted to absolute level and stability, much like a level gauge. This lays a solid foundation for producing high-quality cardboard.

2. Protecting Core Equipment (Shock Absorption and Cushioning)

Problem: The production line operates at extremely high speeds, creating significant impact during startup, shutdown, and paper roll changes. These vibrations and shocks can damage delicate machine components, such as the corrugating rollers.

Solution: Installing air springs under key equipment, such as the base paper stand and double-facer, absorbs most of the shock and vibration, acting like shock absorbers in a car, protecting the equipment and extending its life.

3. Controlling Critical Rollers (Pressure Control)

Problem: The right amount of pressure is required to compress the cardboard. Too little pressure won't bond securely, while too much can collapse the corrugated sheets. Traditional mechanical methods are inflexible and imprecise.

Solution: Use air springs to support these pressure rollers. By adjusting the air pressure, the pressure can be precisely and easily controlled, ensuring each sheet is perfectly bonded without collapsing.
