The butter vertical packaging machine is a specialized application
of vertical automatic packaging machines. It is designed for
packaging oil and fat products that are solid or semi-solid at room
temperature (such as butter, cheese, margarine, and condiment
pastes). Its core feature is that the forming, filling, and sealing
processes are all completed vertically, making it ideal for
packaging bulk, granular, and sauce-like products.
1. Working Principle
Film Roll Installation and Pulling: A roll of packaging film (such
as composite film or aluminum foil) is installed on the machine and
smoothly pulled out by a pulling mechanism.
Forming: The film passes through a key former and is rolled into a
tube.
Longitudinal Sealing: The longitudinal seam of the tube film is
sealed by a heat-sealing device, forming a continuous tube.
Film Pulling and Positioning: A film pulling motor (typically a
servo motor or stepper motor) precisely pulls the film downward a
distance equal to the bag length.
Horizontal Sealing and Cutting: When the film reaches the
predetermined position, the horizontal sealing device performs two
simultaneous actions:
Seals the top of the current bag.
Seals the bottom of the next bag.
Then cuts the film between the two seals, separating the individual
bags.
Metering and Filling: This is a critical step in butter packaging.
During the intervals between the horizontal sealing device's
operation, a metering system located above the machine fills a
measured amount of butter into the formed bags via a hopper. Common
metering methods include:
Piston Metering: The most commonly used method uses the piston
movement of a pneumatic cylinder to pump and eject a fixed volume
of butter. It offers high precision and is suitable for viscous
materials.
Screw Metering: Suitable for powders and fine particles, it can
also be used for butter, but it is necessary to prevent oil from
sticking.

High Efficiency: With a high degree of automation, packaging speeds
can reach dozens to hundreds of bags per minute, far exceeding
manual packaging.
High Precision: Utilizing a sophisticated metering device and servo
control system, each bag of butter is guaranteed to have a
consistent weight.
Attractive Packaging: Uniform bag shapes, neat and secure seals,
and precise pattern alignment enhance product quality.
Hygiene and Safety: The equipment is primarily constructed of
stainless steel, making it easy to clean and meeting food hygiene
standards. Aseptic or semi-aseptic packaging is possible.
Flexibility: By replacing the former and adjusting parameters, the
machine can accommodate packaging of varying sizes and shapes
(e.g., back-seal, three-side seal, four-side seal).
Material Savings: Using roll film reduces material costs compared
to pre-made bags and reduces storage space.
