The LAN9500A-ABZJ is a high-performance, highly integrated single-chip USB 2.0 to 10/100 Ethernet controller, designed for embedded systems, network adapters, and a variety of consumer electronic devices requiring wired network connectivity.

It incorporates a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed physical layer (PHY), a 10/100 Ethernet physical layer (PHY), an Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC), and an integrated EEPROM all into a single chip. This design significantly simplifies the peripheral circuitry, reduces the number of external components, thereby lowering overall system cost and printed circuit board (PCB) space requirements, while enhancing design reliability.

The LAN9500A supports USB 2.0 "Hi-Speed" 480 Mbps data transfer rates, ensuring fast and smooth network data throughput over the USB interface. It features advanced power management capabilities for ultra-low power consumption, making it ideal for portable and energy-efficient applications. Furthermore, the device supports an extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and provides robust embedded ESD protection, enabling it to withstand harsh industrial environments and demanding electrical conditions, ensuring high stability and durability. Its compact 36-pin QFN package further optimizes space-constrained applications.
