• Function

1.Cold - start and low - temperature operation: When the engine is cold - started or the coolant temperature is lower than the set value, the water temperature regulator remains closed. It prevents the coolant from flowing to the radiator and makes the coolant circulate only within the engine water jacket, which is called a small - cycle. This allows the engine to warm up quickly to the optimal operating temperature, reducing engine wear and improving fuel efficiency.

2.High - temperature operation: As the engine runs and the coolant temperature rises to the specified value, the wax - like substance inside the water temperature regulator begins to melt and expand. This expansion pushes the rubber tube to contract, thereby driving the valve to open. At this time, part of the coolant begins to flow through the radiator for heat dissipation, and as the temperature continues to rise, the valve will open further until it is fully open, allowing more coolant to enter the radiator for large - cycle circulation. This helps to lower the coolant temperature and prevent the engine from overheating.
