Introduction
The spiral sand-water separator is designed for grit tanks in
sewage treatment plants. It is an integrated system for separating
and lifting inorganic grit from sewage, capable of effectively
removing particles with a diameter ≥0.2mm. With high separation
efficiency, this equipment features a shaftless spiral design and
operates without water bearings. Its lightweight, compact
structure, reliable performance, and easy installation make it an
ideal solution for sand-water separation.
Applications
The LSF sand-water separator is suitable for grit removal in grit
tanks of urban sewage treatment plants. It is commonly paired with
cyclone grit degreasing tanks or bridge-type sand suction machines
to enhance the separation of sand-water mixtures.

Efficient Drive System: Equipped with a shaft-mounted parallel shaft helical gear
reducer, ensuring compact design, stable operation, and high

High Recovery Rate: Achieves a recovery rate of ≥96% for particles larger than 0.2mm.
Wear-Resistant Lining: The U-shaped groove features a replaceable inner lining with
excellent wear resistance and long service life.
Fully Enclosed Design: Provides a clean operating environment and eliminates the need
for embedded parts. The frame is securely fixed using expansion
bolts.
Flexible Control: Can be integrated with auxiliary equipment for centralized
control or operated independently with a local control box.
Structure and Working Principle
The equipment utilizes a shaftless spiral mechanism. The sand-water
mixture is fed into the top of the separator, where grit settles by
gravity in the separation tank. The shaftless spiral rotates at a
25° angle, gradually conveying the grit along the U-shaped groove
to the discharge outlet, where it falls into a collection container
for removal. The separated water is discharged through the overflow
weir, ensuring improved operational efficiency and convenient
transport of dewatered grit.
Packing and Delivery
1. Waterproof packing with the international export standard by
20ft, 40ft, 40hp container. Equipment Fittings, Electric Motor and
Power Cabinet will be packed in Wooden Case or Iron Box. Other
Equipment will be packed by Color-Stripes Plastic Cloth.
2. The whole plant machinery size are large as normal, so we will
use Waterproof cloth to pack all of them. The motor, gear box or
other easily damaged parts, we will put them into box. We have a
professional shipping department, they will try their best to save
your container quantity.
