CASE INTRODUCTION
KOBELCO Wuxi Compressor Co., Ltd. (KOBELCO) is a leading
manufacturer of centrifugal compressors, supplying high-precision
equipment for industrial and energy applications worldwide.
Centrifugal compressor volute flanges are critical sealing
interfaces, and scratches, uneven surfaces, or minor deformations
can compromise sealing performance, reduce efficiency, and pose
safety risks.
In 2025, MT Portable Machine deployed the FI40 Flange Facing
Machine for on-site machining of volute flange sealing surfaces.
The machine’s portable, modular design and high rigidity allowed
rapid setup and precise repair without dismantling heavy compressor
