Product Introduction
The instrument for measuring the evaporation value of plastic
components in vehicles is applicable to interior materials of
automobiles and aircraft, such as automotive interior plastic
parts, polyurethane, textiles, leather, adhesives, non-woven
fabrics, thermoplastic elastomers, etc. It can evaluate the
evaporation of volatile components of these materials under high
temperatures, and can also be used to measure the high-temperature
evaporation phenomenon of xenon headlights in vehicles.
The sample is heated in the fogging cup and begins to vaporize. The
vaporized gas then condenses on the glass plate or aluminum foil
that has been cooled by the cooling chamber. After the condensation
process is completed, the glass plate or aluminum foil is removed.
The fogging value or weight of the condensed components on the
glass plate or aluminum foil is measured, and compared with the
data before condensation, to obtain the vaporization and
volatilization characteristics of the sample. The fogging tester
can be tested according to various standards.
According to different standards, the main methods for conducting
fogging tests include the glossiness method (requiring one
glossimeter and DIDP reagent), the fogging method (requiring an
additional fogging tester), and the weight method (requiring an
additional balance).
