Product process
1. Material preparation stage
Storage tanks are made of steel plates, so the corresponding steel
plates need to be prepared before manufacturing. First of all,
according to the design specifications and working conditions of
the storage tank, the appropriate steel plate material should be
selected. The steel plate is then cut and bent so that it can meet
the design size and structure requirements. Next, the material is
pre-treated, including rust removal, cleaning, spraying, etc., to
achieve better surface quality and anti-corrosion effect.
2. Welding process
Welding is the core step in tank manufacturing and determines the
strength and service life of the tank. Before welding, it is
necessary to lofted the steel plate, measured and determined the
size and shape of the plate, and then assembled according to the
design drawings. The welding of the storage tank is usually
combined with internal and external welding, and the welding
materials are also different, such as welding wire, welding rod,
etc. After welding, it is necessary to polish and anti-corrosion
treatment of the weld.
3. Quality inspection
Quality inspection is an essential part of the storage tank
manufacturing process to ensure that the manufactured storage tank
meets the design specifications and use requirements. Quality
inspection includes material inspection, welding quality
inspection, size inspection, pressure test and many other aspects.
One of the most important is the inspection of shell welds, heads
and pressure relief devices, usually using non-destructive testing
methods such as X-ray and ultrasonic.
