• Function

1.Sealing and Containment:
The valve cover forms a tight seal over the cylinder head, enclosing the valve train components (such as valves, valve springs, rocker arms, and pushrods). This prevents oil from leaking out of the engine's upper cylinder head area while also blocking contaminants (dust, dirt, debris) from entering the valve train, ensuring a clean and lubried environment for these moving parts.

2.Oil Management:
It helps contain the engine oil that lubries the valve train components. During operation, oil is pumped to the valve train to reduce friction and wear, and the valve cover ensures this oil remains within the system, recirculating properly rather than spilling onto hot engine surfaces (which could cause oil loss or even fires).
