    Scope of application

    The fiber fineness analyzer is a new type of human-computer interactive fiber diameter measurement and analysis instrument. This instrument connects an optical microscope with a computer through a high-resolution industrial camera and relies on professional analysis software to complete tests such as fiber diameter and cross-sectional area. It can be used to measure the diameter of animal fibers such as wool and rabbit hair, as well as determine the content of various natural and artificial mixed fibers. Measurement range: 2 - 200 μm, accuracy: 0.1 μm.

    Features

    1. The system adopts computer digital image processing technology and is composed of a computer, a camera, a microscope, a printer and detection software. It provides automatic fiber diameter measurement function and online help function.

    2. It is used to observe the cross-sectional morphology of various animal fibers, chemical fibers, special-shaped fibers and hollow fibers and measure the cross-sectional area.

    3. It can test the special shape degree of special-shaped fibers.

    4. Through the analysis of the cross-sectional morphology and area measurement of single fibers in blended products, the fiber content of various blended products can be obtained.

    There are two functions available for the diameter measurement of the instrument

    1. Longitudinal diameter measurement method

    For fiber samples with a circular cross-section, the fibers can be directly arranged in parallel on a glass slide after being straightened. The diameter can be automatically measured by clicking on the edge of the fiber on the screen through the fiber microscope camera.

    2. Cross-sectional area method

    For fiber samples with a non-circular cross-section, the fiber samples are first sliced using a HAAKE microtome. The sliced fiber samples are placed on the stage, and the cross-sectional area of the fiber is measured on the screen through the fiber camera. Then, the equivalent diameter is automatically calculated.
