The AFD2 series is a water flow sensor based on the von Kármán vortex street principle. Under certain conditions

When a certain volume of fluid flows around the diffuser column, periodic double-row line vortices with opposite rotational directions and regular arrangement will form on both sides of the diffuser column. After nonlinear action, it forms a von Kármán vortex street. The formation frequency of the vortex is proportional to the flow velocity. The sensor detects these vortices to measure the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline.

The sensor has no moving parts inside and features a long lifespan, resistance to pollution, high accuracy and no drift. It can ensure long-term use for users and is an ideal choice for OEM applications with high product performance requirements and strict cost control.
