• Function

1.Power input and transmission: As a key component of the planetary gear system, the sun gear is usually the power input end. It is connected to the power output device of the engine or transmission, and can receive the power transmitted from the engine, and then transmit the power to the planetary gears meshing with it, providing power support for the subsequent movement of the excavator.

2.Torque conversion and speed regulation: Through the meshing relationship with the planetary gears and the ring gear, the sun gear can realize the conversion of torque and speed. According to the working principle of the planetary gear system, when the ring gear is fixed, the rotation of the sun gear will drive the planetary gears to rotate around it.
