In many large heat exchanger equipment, finned tubes play an essential role in heat dissipation. Among finned tubes, U bend finned tube is very common in the economizer,heat exchangers,etc. There are generally two methods of U production, one is to bend on the basis of the straight finned tube, and the other is to weld the 180° elbow and two straight finned tubes together.

An elbow is a pipe fitting that changes the direction of a pipe. According to the angle, there are 45° and 90 °180 °three most commonly used, in addition, according to the needs of the project, it also includes 60 ° and other abnormal angle elbows. Materials are stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel and others.According to the production process can be divided into: welding elbow, stamping elbow, push elbow, casting elbow, butt welding elbow, etc.

ASTM A234 This specification covers wrought carbon steel and alloy steel fittings of seamless and welded construction covered by the latest revision of ASME B16.9, B16.11, MSS-SP-79, MSS-SP-83, and MSS-SP-95. These fittings are for use in pressure piping and in pressure vessel fabrication for service at moderate and elevated temperatures.
